	Find a home you’ve seen in an ad or the Real Estate Book for Shreveport Bossier City quickly by entering the MLS Number in the first or MLS# field.
	MLS Numbers always contain the one letter, the letter "N", followed by five numbers. So if you see an MLS Number in the Real Estate Book for Shreveport and Bossier City that is R56843 – do not enter the letter (R), replace it with "N" followed by the five numbers. Use the same logic for MLS Numbers you see in other media.
	If you notice a for sale sign in front of a home that catches your eye, remember the street name. Type the street name in the second or Street Name field.

to search	Here you can choose Specific Locations of Shreveport or Bossier City to search. Just click on the check box next to the areas you would like to include.

	For example - If you click on the check box beside North – your search will include only homes located in North Shreveport. Homes located in the South – East and West areas of Shreveport will not be included. You may click on any combination of check boxes. Click on the Reference Map to get an idea of how the North - South - East and West areas are defined.

to search	The Popular Neighborhood feature is great to search for homes located in a particular neighborhood. Select a neighborhood by clicking on it. Your search will now include only homes located in the neighborhood you have selected.

	To view homes located in popular surrounding areas like Benton and Haughton, just click the check box located by its’ name.

	To find homes located in special areas like on the Golf Course or Lake front, click the radio button beside the description you’re looking for.

	If you need more than a normal size lot, use the Acreage Minimum drop down box to find homes with a certain amount of acreage.

	Don’t forget – use the Reference Map to get an idea of how the North – South – East and West areas are defined. Click on the Reference Map link to display the map in the upper left corner of your screen.



	Here you can choose the Price Range you want to search. For example to search for Shreveport Bossier City homes where the price ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 – in the first or From field - you select $100,000, in the second or “to field” you select $150,000. Only homes in the selected price range will be included in your search.

	Choose the number of Bedrooms and Baths you want to include in your search. Click on a minimum number from the drop down menu.

	Your search may also include minimum or maximum Square Footage, Age and the length of time listed for sale in your search by selecting values from their drop down menus.

	You can search by Zip Code. Simply type it in. Your search will now include only homes located in that Zip Code

	To limit your search, or exclude certain types of homes, use the radio buttons located next to the four types available - Single Family Homes (homes located in a residential neighborhood) – Town Homes/Condo (town houses or condominiums) – Manufactured Homes (often referred to as trailers or sometimes doublewides) – Gated Community (homes located in private or gated communities)


	Parking – Select the number of parking spaces to include in your search - click on a number from the drop down menu. Choose the Type of parking by selecting a radio button located by the three available choices – Any Type (includes homes with – no covered parking – any type of covered parking – garage) Any Covered (includes homes with carports or a garage) Garage (includes homes with a garage only)


	Keyword Search This is a powerful search feature. This feature allows you to customize your search with the particular features you desire – For example by typing in “Workshop” only homes with a workshop will be included in your search.

	Popular keywords are: Sprinkler – Workshop - Garden Tub – Dining Room – Remote Master – Downstairs Master – In ground– Fireplace – Whirlpool – 2 story – Pool – Hardwood Floors – Barn – Log Home – Boathouse – Steam Shower.

	You can also type an address like – 344 Americana or subdivision name like – Broadmoor

	Important – Remember the more keywords you type in, the narrower your search becomes – you may need to include only your must have features.
